Respiratory Therapist (Temp) – Cedar Rapids, IA
Job Summary
- Temporary Respiratory Therapist position with varied shifts.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Must be willing and able to float across different units throughout the hospital.
- Work primarily with all patient ages, focusing on adults and NICU patients.
- Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
- Orientation start date: July 20.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa.
- Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- At least 15 months of total travel experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Current certifications required:
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP
- NBRC
- Experience with Epic EMR system.
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional Information
- Equipment used includes Drager, Jet, and Oscillator ventilators.
- Scrubs: any solid color tops and bottoms allowed.
- No Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs) will be considered.
- Employee separation policy restricts certain past employees from travel assignments in this market.
- Call back and on-call pay multipliers and policies apply (details not included here).
- Orientation is 16 hours.
- Must be prepared for potential holiday shifts during summer.
