Registered Nurse (Neuro Unit)

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation of nursing interventions, documentation, and ensuring patient and staff safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all unit-specific nursing duties within scope of practice.
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on ongoing patient evaluation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Report and address safety hazards and incidents to ensure a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue professional development.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
• Minimum 3 years of neurology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Information

• Night shift position.
