• Every other weekend required

Job Summary

• Accountable for the care of a group of patients in a telemetry setting.
• Focus on safe, effective patient- and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
• Responsible for assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
• Applies evidence-based practice and participates in Practice Governance.
• Supervises licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Provides mentoring and precepting to staff.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and supports patient/family education and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and reassessments; make sound independent clinical decisions.
• Initiate, prioritize, implement, and revise plans of care.
• Monitor and document patient responses to interventions.
• Facilitate and evaluate patient and family education during stay and at discharge.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and encourage teamwork.
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
• Support practice changes and participate in governance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Acute care nursing experience
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
