Job Opportunity: Interim Leader - Med Surg
Location
- Kirksville, Missouri
Position Type
- Interim Leadership (Travel assignment)
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, with on-call coverage as needed
- 24-hour accountability for ICU unit
- No floating required
- No 48-hour guarantees
- No blocked scheduling
Unit Details
- ICU beds: 10
- Medical-Surgical average daily census: 20
- Electronic Medical Record system: MedHost
Role Summary
- Provide overall leadership and management of ICU and Medical-Surgical departments
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care and operational excellence
- Provide strategic and operational leadership, including staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and service line development
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and staff development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance staff engagement
- Drive innovation in critical care services
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
