Job Opportunity: ED Boarder RN

Location

  • Boston, Massachusetts

Employment Type

  • Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • Day/Night rotating shifts
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Description

  • Fast-paced environment with higher patient turnover than traditional inpatient units
  • Nurses care for patients both in hallways and bays
  • Requires moving between multiple care areas to obtain patients, medications, and supplies
  • High activity level throughout the shift

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience

Additional Notes

  • No fit testing can be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start
  • Fit test updates can be done at specific locations if assignment is extended
  • Positive TB test requires a negative chest x-ray (optional but recommended)
  • Name change documentation required if legal name differs from credential documents
  • Background and compliance checks require vetting by security/compliance teams

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs who thrive in dynamic, high-volume emergency department settings and meet the outlined credentialing and health requirements.
