13 weeks

Schedule

  • 36 hours per week
  • Day/night rotation: 0700-1930 and 1900-0730
  • Every third weekend required
  • Floating required as needed

Role Summary

Provides direct patient care for critically ill adult patients with altered cardiac function and hemodynamic instability, including care coordination, patient/family education, transitions of care, leadership, mentoring, and teaching.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Minnesota
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of CVICU experience
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • One year or more of total travel experience
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
  • Pulmonary artery catheter experience
  • Impella experience
  • IABP experience
  • Advanced hemodynamic monitoring experience
  • Ventilator management experience

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program
  • If the nursing program was not accredited by ACEN or CCNE, at least 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting within the last 5 years is required
  • If graduation did not occur within the last 2 years, 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is required
