Description
Job Opportunity: Case Manager (Registered Nurse)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
- Assess, evaluate, and drive patient discharge plans.
- Coordinate services to ensure appropriate level of care.
- Initiate, evaluate, and re-evaluate treatment plans daily.
- Monitor patient progress and length of stay; identify discharge barriers.
- Follow Medicare regulatory guidelines regarding patient choice and notices.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- No weekends or on-call required
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 3 years of case management experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as a Care Manager
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance & Screening
- Full compliance with all onboarding requirements mandatory to start on time
- Clinical screening required to determine fit and eligibility
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
- Physical exam required within 12 months of start
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Annual TB Questionnaire required; negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documented:
- Flu vaccine or signed declination (required during flu season)
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap highly recommended (not required)
- Color Blind Testing required; alternative assessment available if needed
Orientation & Holidays
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
Additional Requirements
- Two clinical references required by agency
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months required
- Verification of most recent work history required (can be pending at start with proof it is in process)
- Must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
Notes
- Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Floating assignments may be required within the facility and scope of practice
- Clinical fit and eligibility determined on a case-by-case basis through clinical screening process
This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with prior travel contract experience seeking a day-shift case management role in a hospital setting.
