Job Opportunity: CT Tech

Location

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Weekend schedule only: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  • 12-hour shifts: 8:45 AM – 8:15 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • No call or float requirements
  • No weekend RTO (Return to Office) allowed

Unit and Work Environment

  • Emergency Department setting
  • Very fast-paced environment
  • Use of Siemens Scanner (Model: FORCE) and GE equipment (Siemens scanner use is mandatory)
  • Daily caseload: 150-200 scans across 4 rooms
  • Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Procedures include routine ED patients, Code Stroke, and some trauma cases
  • Typical case load per tech in an 8-hour shift: 8-12 patients
  • Unit systems: EPIC, Visage

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • Experience in an inpatient setting
  • Experience with GE Healthcare equipment
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • ARRT (CT) certification

Preferred Skills

  • Outpatient experience
  • IV starts
  • PACS, Contrast, Visage familiarity

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT(R)(CT) certification

Orientation and Start Details

  • Orientation start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability
  • Travelers may start Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week
  • Must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation
  • Missing any portion of orientation may delay or cancel start
  • Final start date confirmed the Tuesday prior to start week

Dress Code

  • Royal Blue scrubs

Required Background and Compliance Checks

  • Background checks including local county, federal court, national criminal database, DOJ sex offender search, and education verification for highest degree earned
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 90 days of start
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start (negative 10-panel drug screen)
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (30 days if past positive TB)
  • Fit mask testing (N95 or PAPR training) within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility requirements
  • Required immunizations and titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or facility-specific declination)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption documentation
  • Medication Safety training certificate
  • Annual compliance and facility-specific mandatory education modules
  • Facility confidentiality agreement and hospital policies acknowledgment
  • Facility-specific orientation and education checklists

Additional Requirements

  • Radiation badge required for CT Techs
  • Candidate photo for badge creation (passport style, solid white background, business attire)
  • Completion of competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
  • References: 2 professional references within 3 years (not required for non-clinical)
  • Employment application upload required

  • Interview with hiring manager required prior to offer
  • No weekend RTO allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation or Do Not Rehire status
  • Very fast-paced emergency department environment with trauma and stroke cases
  • Must be able to accommodate schedule changes during orientation week
