Description
Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Santa Rosa, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
- Scheduling: Option for 4x10 block schedule available for the right candidate, but must work Saturdays
- Patient Load: Approximately 20 visits per day
- Rooms/Beds: 2
- Years of Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Weekend Requirement: No
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days
Required Licenses and Certifications
- California state license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, Chemotherapy, EFM, IV Certification, NIH Stroke, CPI, MAB) may be required based on clinical track and specialty verification
- CPDH Certificate required for all Respiratory Therapists working in California (if applicable)
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Recent Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
Required Documents and Background Checks
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable)
- Background Check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification (3rd party) required for all candidates
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Drug Testing: 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and Health Documents:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations not required)
- Respirator Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
Additional Requirements
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background (facility-specific)
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Float Policy Acknowledgement: May be required to float to other nearby facilities
- References and work history must align with booked specialty
- Prior travel experience: First-time travelers accepted with relevant experience (no explicit prior travel experience required)

- This position offers a reduced non-billable orientation (0 hours vs. standard 40 hours)
- No pending licenses accepted; must have active California license
- Background checks with any open/active felony or more than one DUI charge will result in cancellation
- Candidates currently working at another facility with less than 30-day gap may not require new background or drug screen if not expiring on assignment
- Some certifications and requirements depend on clinical track and specialty verification; consult credentialing team if unclear
