Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Billings, Montana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36


Job Summary

  • Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Continuously evaluate patient health status through data collection and assessment.
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy directly or through delegation and supervision.
  • Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
  • Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
  • May float to other departments within competency and qualifications.
  • May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the Emergency Department (ED).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Certification relevant to the Emergency Department or unit specialty.
