Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele (Night Shift)

Location

  • Chesapeake, Virginia
  • Near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA

Employment Type

  • Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

  • Night shift
  • 4x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 7:30)
  • Overtime after 48 hours
  • Option to indicate preference for 3x12 or 4x12 shifts
  • Every other weekend, float, and holidays included within contract

Unit and Patient Care

  • MedSurg Telemetry / Neurology / Stroke unit
  • Patient ratio: 1:7
  • Must have experience working with neurology/stroke patients

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • Experience with neurology and stroke patients
  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record system
