Description
CT Technologist - Night Shift
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 18 weeks
Job Summary
- Perform CT procedures and tests to acquire and analyze diagnostic data.
- Verify patient identification and pregnancy status for patients of childbearing age.
- Obtain and manipulate CT images per protocols, including multi-planar and 3D reconstructions.
- Administer oral and IV contrast safely, checking lab values and contrast eligibility.
- Manage image transfer and verification using PACS, EMR systems, and related tools.
- Maintain accurate order management, charge verification, and demographic data.
- Support workflow consistency, produce quality diagnostic images, and maintain a clean work environment.
- Precept new employees and students.
Schedule
- Night shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
- 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
- Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Advanced certification in CT required; must obtain registration within one year if initially registry-eligible.
- Current BLS certification (Healthcare Provider level) required and must be maintained annually.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens CT equipment highly preferred.
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in CT imaging protocols, patient identification, and safety procedures.
- Skilled in image manipulation, multi-planar and 3D reconstruction, and CT algorithms.
- Experienced in oral and IV contrast administration, including eligibility determination and lab value checks.
- Knowledgeable in PACS navigation, QC verification, EMR systems, and order management.
- Ability to manage workflow, produce diagnostic images, review charts and reports, and document incidents.
- Experience precepting employees and students.
