Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Job Summary
- Work in the Operating Room (OR) department with trauma level 3 designation.
- Expected to work weekend and weeknight call shifts.
- Shift options: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Float requirements apply.
Unit Profile
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Equipment includes robotics, various microscopes, lasers, specialty OR tables/beds, navigation system for craniotomy, DaVinci surgical system.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: EPIC and Omnicell.
- Patient population includes general surgery, trauma, bariatrics, vascular, ENT, gynecology, neurology, orthopedics, urology.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
- Experience in bariatric surgery.
- Experience in ENT surgery.
- Experience in OB/GYN surgery.
- Experience in neurology surgery.
- Experience in orthopedic surgery.
Additional Information
- Dress code: Scrubs provided (navy blue).
- Call requirements include both weeknight and weekend coverage.
