    Job Description

    • Perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures to produce quality diagnostic images.
    • Work independently using sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise, and timely procedures.
    • Provide competent patient assessment, monitoring, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
    • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
    • May perform specific procedures and orient new staff to the department.

    Shift Details

    • Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
    • Saturday rotation as needed

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
    • Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

    Background and Compliance Requirements

    • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable.
    • FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually.
    • Education verification required unless highest education is high school.
    • Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana due to CA law).
    • TB screening: Negative QGold or TSPOT within 90 days of start or 2 PPDs as specified; must be renewed annually.
    • Immunizations: Must meet requirements for Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination during flu season.
    • Physical exam required within 1 year of start.
    • Fit mask test required within 1 year of start and renewed annually; PAPR training may be required if fit test fails.
    • Respiratory safety clearance required prior to start and renewed annually.
    • Color blindness exam required if applicable (in-person exam only).
    • References: 2 professional references required within 3 years for clinical/allied/per diem acute care candidates.
    • Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps.
    • Unit-specific skills checklist required and renewed annually.

    Certifications (as applicable)

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS, PALS, NRP, CCRN, TNCC, EFM, IV Certification, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on position specifics (verify with recruiter).

    Facility Specific Requirements

    • Candidate must review and sign facility-specific documents including job description, standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, overpayment refund policy, and regulatory orientation prior to start.
    • TB questionnaire must be signed by candidate and healthcare provider.
    • Religious exemption forms required for facial hair (PAPR) and certain vaccine exemptions.
    • Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background).
