Cath Lab Tech (Interventional Radiology / Cardiology) - Travel/Contract

Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Weekend Requirement: Yes
On-Call Requirement: Yes

• 12-13 days of call in a 6-week period
• Call hours: Weekdays 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Weekends 5:30 PM Friday – 7:00 AM Monday (rotating call team)

Job Description

• Position requires strong Interventional Radiology (IR) experience with Cardiac Catheterization Lab (CCL) experience preferred.
• Floating to other units or sister facilities is not required or expected.
• Block scheduling accommodations are not available.
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted (note: local pay rate adjustment applies).
• First-time travelers are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (Interventional Radiology / Cardiology).
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• Valid Maryland state license required (compact licenses accepted only with proof of Maryland residency).
• Proof of 2 clinical references required.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG (all annually updated).
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start date.
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually (specific approved mask types required).
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with annual updates)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters required if negative)
  • Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccination, positive titer, or declination
  • Annual flu vaccination (declinations not accepted)
• Competency exams as applicable, including Moderate Sedation and IR specialty testing.
• Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment required.

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be available for call shifts as specified.
• Fingerprinting via Maryland CJIS/DSS/FBI required for school placements only.
• Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility over 1 year.
• Skills checklists must be updated annually as applicable.

This position is ideal for experienced IR Lab Techs with CCL expertise seeking a travel contract in Maryland with a structured day shift and significant on-call responsibilities.
