Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Neonatal ICU
Location
- Savannah, Georgia
- Level I Trauma Center and only children’s hospital in the region
- Coastal city with rich history and cultural attractions
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Shift: Evening (7 PM), 12-hour shifts
- Documentation System: Epic
- Dress Code: Hunter Green uniform
Unit & Equipment
- Patient Population: Neonatal and Pediatric ICU critical care patients
- Equipment Used:
- Servo U ventilator
- Drager VN500
- F&P Bubble CPAP
- High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
- High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV)
- Vaportherm
- Heliox therapy (invasive and non-invasive)
- BiPAP and CPAP for non-invasive ventilation
- Use of nitric oxide therapy
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license/certification for Georgia
- Certifications:
- NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Experience working with Neonatal and Pediatric patients in critical care settings
- Proficient in managing ventilated pediatric patients and neonatal-specific respiratory therapies including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide therapy, heliox therapy, and high-frequency ventilation modalities
