Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry (Nights)
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- This position requires comfort and experience working across three specialties: Medical/Surgical (MS), Telemetry (Tele), and Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
- The facility is a small, rural hospital with a 25-bed capacity and a 24/7 emergency department.
- Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 5:1, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1, applicable for both day and night shifts.
- Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
- Must be able to work independently and "hit the ground running."
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
Required Qualifications
- License: New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license valid in New Hampshire (must be uploaded with profile).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years combined experience in PCU, Medical/Surgical, and Telemetry nursing.
- Skills:
- Current (within 1 year) documented skills in Medical/Surgical nursing relevant to the position.
- Current (within 1 year) documented skills in Telemetry nursing relevant to the position.
- Current (within 1 year) documented skills in Progressive Care Unit nursing relevant to the position.
- Certifications:
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Additional:
- Basic dysrhythmia test certification required in profile.
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment.
- Preferred:
- Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Experience in rural or small facility settings is highly preferred.
Scheduling and Time Off
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts.
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and verified at the time of application; no RTO requests will be approved after submission.
- Up to 5 days or less of RTO may be approved for the 13-week assignment.
- No scheduling accommodations such as block scheduling will be approved.
Additional Notes
- No non-billable orientation overtime or holiday multipliers apply.
- Call and call-back pay is not applicable for this assignment.
- Candidates cannot work this assignment concurrently with another permanent or travel placement.
- A 48-hour guaranteed time off is not available for this need.
This role is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with multiple specialties in a small, rural hospital setting who can work independently on night shifts.
