Description

Registered Nurse - Procedural (Vascular/Interventional Radiology)

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 36 hours


Job Summary

Provide nursing care under general supervision in a specialty procedural area involving vascular and interventional radiology. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures, administering medications and IV infusions, monitoring patient physiological data, and coordinating with support staff.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned group of patients and document responses to treatments.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
  • Administer medications and regulate intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Monitor patient physiological status and intervene as necessary.
  • Communicate care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and discharge.
  • Delegate tasks to technicians and other support personnel.
  • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology, with experience within the last year.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
