Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Details

• Work setting: Main Operating Room (OR)
• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (10:30 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Total hours per week: 36
• On-call requirement: Yes

  • 2 primary weekday calls (10:30 PM – 6:00 AM) in a 6-week call cycle
  • 2 secondary weekday calls (10:30 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • 2 primary weekend calls (one 12-hour day shift, either 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM – 6:00 AM) on Saturday or Sunday
  • 2 secondary weekend calls (one 12-hour day shift, same times as above) on Saturday or Sunday
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
• Facility is an acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds, located beachside
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color for RNs: Navy Blue
• Parking available (fees apply)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Certifications (Must be current and valid)

• BCLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
• Other certifications as required by unit or specialty (verify via credentialing system)

Additional Requirements

• Background checks include SSN trace, death master index, nationwide and county checks, sex offender registry, education verification, motor vehicle record (if applicable), and international background if applicable
• Facility-specific documents such as badge photo required
• Epic training modules must be completed as assigned
• Float policy acknowledgment may be required (may float to other nearby facilities)
• Must comply with all state-specific licensing and background check requirements
