  • 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

  • Perform various ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis.
  • Prepare exam rooms and obtain informed consent.
  • Review patient history and select appropriate exam protocols.
  • Explain examination methods and position patients accordingly.
  • Assess patient status and perform diagnostic tests and necessary interventions.
  • Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness.
  • Ensure quality imaging and coordinate preparation of images and documentation for physicians.
  • Document and communicate patient information accurately.
  • Inform patients of physician or caregiver instructions and incorporate into care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and quality care.
  • Ensure safe handoff between shifts through clear communication.
  • Monitor equipment safety and reliability; report issues and arrange repairs.
  • Manage supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and transport patients as needed.
  • Participate in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow.
  • Uphold organizational mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Vascular Sonographer, with experience within the last year.
  • Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
