NICU Registered Nurse

Overview

13-week travel assignment
12-hour day shifts
36 hours per week
Location: Nampa, Idaho

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
3 years of NICU experience
BLS certification
NRP certification
STABLE certification
Must be able to attend deliveries, stabilize newborns, perform newborn assessments, and attend C-sections
Must be able to float to NICU or sitter assignments across multiple sites in the area

Unit Details

Level II NICU
8 beds
Typical patients include infants 32 weeks and greater, with respiratory distress, feeding/growing needs, hypoglycemia, and NAS scoring/opioid withdrawal
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3
Neonatal NP available 24/7
Continuous centralized monitoring in use
NICU CPAP available; ventilated patients are transferred to a higher-level NICU

Schedule and Assignment Notes

No call required
No minimum weekend requirement
Holiday coverage may be needed based on unit needs
Travelers should not expect guaranteed block scheduling
3 days of unit orientation are provided
Compliance tasks must be completed before start

Additional Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Hospital-issued scrubs are required
Acrylic or gel nails are not allowed
Radius rule applies for candidate residence verification
