Description
CT Technologist
Location: Bangor, Maine
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour overnight shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Urgent start needed
- Up to every other weekend work, no call required
- Primarily adult/geriatric patients with some pediatric/neonates
- Patient care areas include Emergency Department, Outpatient, and Inpatient settings
- Average patient volume varies by day and shift
Required Qualifications
- ARRT (R) & (CT) certification
- Maine state license for CT Technologist
- BLS certification
- Experience with CTA studies and general CT studies
- Preferred: IV start skills
- Preferred: Experience with Siemens CT and X-ray equipment
Experience
- 1 year of CT experience preferred; acceptance of 1-year experience or first-time travelers is dependent upon interview
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Equipment & Technology
- Siemens Definition CT with Medrad Injector
- Siemens YSIO DR Room, Shimadzu Portable, OEC and Siemens C-Arms
- EMR system: Cerner
- PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
Support & Environment
- Lead Tech and Department Administration support
- Multiple CT and Diagnostic X-ray techs scheduled per shift
- Radiologist on site
- Internal transport available
- Floating assignments within the hospital
Orientation & Scheduling
- Orientation duration: 1 to 1.5 weeks, based on experience and comfort level
- 4-week scheduling cycles
- Weekend rotation varies based on need
- Holidays scheduled in rotation with other techs
- Return to office (RTO) requires manager approval
