Rehabilitation Therapist (Acute/Inpatient) - Contract
Location
- Hilo, Hawaii

Job Description
- Provide physical therapy evaluation and re-evaluation for assigned residents/patients.
- Plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians or consulting specialists.
- Provide consulting physical therapy services.
- Primary coverage in acute rehabilitation; secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab.
- Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed based on hospital operations.
- Use of EMR system (Meditech).
Schedule
- Variable shifts:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in Hawaii.
- Minimum of 1 year of Rehabilitation Therapist experience within the last year.
- Experience in Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long Term Care, and Inpatient settings.
- Physical Therapist experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Candidates should not accept the start date if they cannot arrive on time.
