Rehabilitation Therapist (Acute/Inpatient) - Contract

Location

  • Hilo, Hawaii

Employment Type

  • Contract
  • Duration: 26 weeks

Job Description

  • Provide physical therapy evaluation and re-evaluation for assigned residents/patients.
  • Plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by attending physicians or consulting specialists.
  • Provide consulting physical therapy services.
  • Primary coverage in acute rehabilitation; secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab.
  • Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed based on hospital operations.
  • Use of EMR system (Meditech).

Schedule

  • Variable shifts:
    • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Rehabilitation Therapist license in Hawaii.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Rehabilitation Therapist experience within the last year.
  • Experience in Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long Term Care, and Inpatient settings.
  • Physical Therapist experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Information

  • Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday.
  • Candidates should not accept the start date if they cannot arrive on time.
