    ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - California, Orange


    Job Details

    • Position: ICU Registered Nurse
    • Location: Orange, California
    • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    • Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
    • Contract Length: 13 weeks
    • Patient Ratio: 1:2
    • Unit: High Acuity ICU (float to DSU unit as needed)
    • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
    • Scheduling: No scheduling requests due to outside employment considered; block scheduling at manager discretion
    • Floating: May float up to 100% of shifts within like units

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

    Additional Requirements

    • Work History: Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format; explanation for gaps or overlaps required
    • Skills Checklist: Annual update required for applicable units
    • Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
    • Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required before start
    • Epic Charting System: Experience with Epic required; candidates must complete Epic training modules as assigned
    • Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
