ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - California, Orange
Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse
- Location: Orange, California
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Unit: High Acuity ICU (float to DSU unit as needed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit needs
- Scheduling: No scheduling requests due to outside employment considered; block scheduling at manager discretion
- Floating: May float up to 100% of shifts within like units
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in California
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Work History: Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format; explanation for gaps or overlaps required
- Skills Checklist: Annual update required for applicable units
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required before start
- Epic Charting System: Experience with Epic required; candidates must complete Epic training modules as assigned
- Float Policy: Acknowledgement required; may be required to float to other facilities within reasonable distance
