Description
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 18:00 - 6:30)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Overview
- Preferred experience in postpartum care
- Average daily census: 15-20 patients
- Unit size: 11 rooms / 15 beds
- Approximately 20 patient visits per day
- Float requirement: Travelers are first to float within their scope to meet facility needs
- Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
- Care for high-risk obstetrics and culturally diverse patient population
- RNs circulate on cesarean sections
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
