Nights, 12-hour shifts

Unit Overview

Telemetry/stepdown unit with 28 private beds
Typical patient mix includes heavy cardiac cases, dysrhythmias, CVAs, and patients downgraded from ICU

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Unexpired driver’s license copy must be submitted with the application

Clinical Expectations

Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Must be able to titrate Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin drips
May float to ICU as helping hands

Schedule / Work Environment

Weekend rotation required
Every other holiday required
2 shifts of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor
Ratios are typically 1:4-5, or 1:6 for MedSurg acuity

Additional Notes

No more than one submission at a time within the system
Navy blue scrubs required, including jackets if worn
