Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 48

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Certifications

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required for PICU, Pediatric Stepdown, ERP; preferred but not required for PACU
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required for Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, NICU
• NIH Stroke Certification – preferred but not required for some pediatric units and PACU
• Pass/Fail Competency Exams (Medication & ECG) required for all bedside RNs except OR RNs; includes SafeMedicate exam (90% passing) and ECG interpretation (80% passing)
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred but not required for RN First Assistants (RNFAs)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred but not required for ER
• National certification required for CVOR (NBSTSA)

Onboarding and Facility Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; video must be watched before test)
• Photo for badge required for RN First Assistants (RNFAs)
• Resume/CV with 10 years work history required for RNFAs
• Acknowledgement forms for RNFAs and CSFAs prior to start
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; candidates may start with results pending if fingerprinting is completed before start
• Physical exam and immunization documentation must include provider’s address
• Latex allergy notification required if applicable
• Flu vaccine documentation must be submitted by November 30th for current candidates and for new candidates onboarded between November 30th and March 31st
• Agency must complete flu vaccine exemption attestation if applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidates with a break in employment of less than 30 days do not need to update physical or eye exams if within 1 year
• Candidates with a gap longer than 30 days must meet all current health documentation requirements
• Candidates must renew certifications and licenses if expiring within 30 days of start
• Background checks and fingerprinting must be updated annually and for breaks in service of 2 or more months
• Candidates must comply with all facility and agency onboarding processes and documentation requirements
