Respiratory Therapist
Location
Bristol, Connecticut
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- Days
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Shift options include 8-, 10-, and 12-hour schedules
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Connecticut
- Respiratory Therapist experience
- 2 years of experience
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS
- Extensive ventilator (vent) management experience
Clinical Setting
- Inpatient coverage across ICU, ER, L&D, Med-Surg, Psych, recovery room, and sleep lab
- Primarily adult patients, with some pediatric patients in the ER and minor surgeries
Key Responsibilities
- Draw and read ABGs
- Draw from arterial lines
- Assist with bronchoscopy
- Attend codes and rapid responses
- Assist with intubations
- Support L&D with blenders and humidifiers
- Stabilize and transfer patients
- Provide occasional sleep lab support
Additional Details
- Floating required across all areas
- No call requirement
- Orientation: 2 days to 1 week
- Black and teal scrubs
- Must be flexible and communicate openly
