Registered Nurse - Telemetry Contract
Overview
- Location: New York, New York
- Setting: Med Surg / Tele Unit
- Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Hours: 34.5 hours per week
- Shift pattern: 3x12 schedule with weekends required; every other weekend required
- Contract length: 9 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year travel nursing experience
- Modified Primary Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Associate degree in nursing considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN program
- EPIC experience highly preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing care to assigned patients
- Assess patient needs and use critical thinking in care management
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Educate patients and caregivers on care plans and transition of care
- Support patient experience through therapeutic communication and purposeful rounding
- Participate in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
- Document nursing care accurately and thoroughly
- Help coordinate supplies, staffing resources, and patient throughput

- Ventilator experience is listed among the skills for this role
- Travel positions require 1 year of travel experience; this is not required for per diem positions
