Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

13-week contract
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Day shift

Required Qualifications

Active New York State nursing license in good standing
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Unit Details

Emergency department with 25 beds plus hallway spaces
Patient ratio: 1:3 to 1:5
Charge nurse is present but not assigned to travelers
Nurse aides are available
Tele skills needed
Nurses must be able to read strips
Drips and vents are used
Hospitalist coverage is available
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7
No IV team
No pharmacy coverage 24/7

Schedule and Operations

Every other weekend required
Rotating holidays
Floating not required
Floor-specific orientation provided
Start times may vary: 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 12:00 PM
