RN - Telemetry

Overview

• Travel nursing assignment in Springfield, Missouri
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• One opening
• Auto-offer position
• Weekend coverage as required by the facility
• No call required
• Will float on a rotational basis

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
• Driver's License
• Experience and competence in drug titration

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification from AHA
• Orthopedic experience

Unit Details

• Orthopedic/neuro unit
• 27 beds
• Typical patient ratios vary by shift
• Patients include orthopedics, post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidities

Work Conditions

• Standing and walking most of the time
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• May require differing schedules, shifts, days, or work frequency based on patient care needs
• High risk of exposure to blood and body fluids
• Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, and minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling

Additional Notes

• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift and requires availability for the entire week
• Black scrubs required
• Torn clothes, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not allowed
