Job Overview

  • Specialty: Emergency Department / ER

  • Weekly hours: 36 or 48

  • Schedule notes: Block scheduling cannot be accommodated; night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • 1 year of Emergency Department experience
  • Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • TNCC
  • NIHSS

Unit Details

  • 68 beds
  • Typical patient ratio: 4:1
  • High-acuity trauma setting with stroke, STEMI, and burn patients

Preferred Experience

  • Trauma/pediatric experience
  • Experience with 200+ patients per day
  • High-acuity experience

Work Environment

  • Busy urban trauma center
  • Black scrubs required
  • Unprofessional attire and jeans are not allowed

Physical Demands

  • Standing and walking most of the shift
  • Lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs
  • Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 15 lbs
  • Kneeling, crouching, and crawling may be required
