RN - PCU
Overview
- Travel RN position in Albany, New York
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 36
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Experience / Skills
- Competent in care of medical and surgical populations
- Advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage per titration protocols
- Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial lines, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, infection prevention protocols, HFNC, BiPap/Cpap, and oxypendent
Patient Population
- Progressive critical care patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multisystem organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
- Average patient load: 3 high-acuity patients
Work Environment Notes
- Navy blue scrubs required
