Description
Registered Nurse - Hospice
Location
- Morristown, New Jersey
Schedule
- Day shift
- 5 days per week
- 8-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Float to different counties as needed
Contract Length
- 21 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- Hospice (2 years of experience)
- Hospice experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of RN experience
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients for hospice appropriateness, learning needs, and progress toward goals
- Develop and revise patient and family plans of care
- Complete admission, discharge, and revisit documentation within required timeframes
- Provide case management, including care planning, scheduling, and interdisciplinary communication
- Maintain safe medication management and reconcile medications
- Participate in staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and orientation or mentorship of new employees
