Schedule

• 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts
• Call coverage may be required: 1 to 2 call shifts per week and 1 to 2 weekends per month

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• OR - Operating Room (3-5 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
• CCRN
• Relevant unit-based certification such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, if required by the assigned unit

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management
• Administer medications safely
• Support staffing, time management, supplies, and service utilization
• Participate in shared governance, improvement initiatives, peer review, professional development, and continuing education
• Support new employees and students
• Perform charge nurse or shift coordinator duties when assigned
• Use nursing research and current evidence in practice
