Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist
Location
Johnson City, New York
Schedule
- Day shift
- 40 hours per week
- On-call coverage includes 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
Contract Length
13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT (R)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Role Overview
- Provides technical support and clinical assistance for cardiac cath lab procedures, including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography, temporary pacemaker insertion, and LV assist device insertions
- Operates advanced imaging equipment and follows imaging protocols
- Maintains radiation safety and general safety standards
- Performs quality assurance checks on equipment
- Helps maintain supply inventory
- Instructs students and residents and may serve as a preceptor
- Supports coding-related accuracy for cath lab procedures
- Participates in on-call STEMI coverage independently
