Respiratory Therapist II - Pediatrics
Location
Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- May require on-call coverage on days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provides advanced respiratory care for pediatric patients, including airway management, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and related respiratory procedures. May also support transport of pediatric and neonatal patients, advanced practice procedures, and ECMO-related care depending on assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience
- 2 years of experience as a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- One of the following, depending on practice area and population served:
- ACLS
- NRP
- PALS
- CPFT
- Advanced practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in a Bronchoscopy Lab

Additional Notes
- Must be able to work with NICU and PICU populations
- Functions independently with minimal supervision
- Serves as a resource to other staff
