RN - NICU
Job Overview
- Location: Irving, Texas
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekly hours: 36
- Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts
- Weekend rotation: Yes
- Floating: May float as needed to the newborn nursery
- Charge RN: Must be willing to serve as charge RN
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP
- STABLE
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Unit Experience / Skills
- Care for infants requiring CPAP or ventilation
- Experience with central lines
- Stabilization experience and attending deliveries
- Developmental care
- Family-centered care
Preferred
- Meditech experience
Unit Procedures
- Assist with line placement
- Assist with circumcision
- Assist with intubation
Additional Notes
- Guaranteed hours: 36
- Documentation systems used on the unit include Meditech and CPNS
