Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Dakota
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with conventional ventilators (Draeger)
- Experience with high frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator)
- Nitric oxide experience
- Cool cap experience
- MedFusion pumps experience
- Smart pumps experience
- Spacelab monitors experience
- MAK medication system experience
- Accudose experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
Schedule
- 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
- Every other weekend required
Unit Details
- 40-bed unit
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratios:
- 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants
- 3:1 for infants who are growing and feeding
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to neonates
- Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, admissions
- Perform neonatal assessments and care for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, OG and NG feedings, and G-tubes
Additional Notes
- Epic experience is highly preferred
- Candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
- Candidates within 60 to 80 miles are subject to a reduced local travel rate
- The hiring manager will interview candidates directly before an offer is made
