ICU Registered Nurse

Location

• Tacoma, Washington

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Nights, 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays required

Setting and Unit Details

• Primarily PCU with float to ICU
• Medical ICU
• Float eligible between ICU and PCU areas
• May float within the region if needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington
• BLS
• ACLS
• 2 years of experience in the specialty
• Pending license accepted for submission

Clinical Notes

• All critical care diagnoses
• Ventilators used in ICU
• No vents in PCU
• No pressors in PCU
• Travelers are not required to take IABP or CRRT unless they have that experience

Orientation

• Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks
• Expect 25+ hours
• Floor-specific orientation is planned for up to 1 week, with a minimum of 2 shifts

Additional Considerations

• COVID vaccine required
• Candidates may not have been full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year
