Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 2 shifts per week
• 24 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: 3 per month
• Holidays: every other holiday

Unit Details

• Emergency Department with approximately 48 beds
• Ratios: 1:6
• Telemetry: yes
• Ventilators: yes
• Hospitalist or intensivist in house
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7, but does not respond to the ED
• Pharmacy available 24/7
• Floating limited to ED care areas
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 clinical shifts

• Chest pain
• Abdominal pain
• Stroke
• STEMI
• Trauma
• Psych
• Sepsis

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• CPI
• TNCC

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS preferred

• All requested time off must be included with the submission and profile
• Scrub color: ceil blue top with black or ceil blue bottoms; blue scrub jackets only, no hoodies or sweaters
• Level 2 trauma center
• 24-hour cath lab
• Designated stroke center
• Teaching hospital with emergency medicine residency training program
