Registered Nurse Emergency Department

Overview

Location: Elmira, New York
Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Contract length: 13 weeks
Setting: 48-treatment-space emergency department
Patient ratio: 1:5

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
CPI
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Onboarding / Compliance

BLS must not expire during the assignment
CPI must not expire during the assignment
Skills checklist for the unit must be fully complete and updated annually
Core competency exam must be completed with a score of 80% or higher and updated annually
Fit test must be completed before start and be within the last 12 months
MMR, varicella, hepatitis B, TB, Tdap, physical/health statement, and COVID-19 vaccine documentation are part of onboarding requirements
Color headshot required
Employment verification must be for the most recent employer
Education verification for the initial nursing degree is required for RNs
Additional signed onboarding forms are required, including code of conduct, personal information, assignment confirmation, self-study packet documentation and quiz, sexual harassment acknowledgement, parking registration, and drug/tobacco acknowledgement

Notes

COVID-19 vaccination is optional
Proof of TN visa status may be required for Canadian-issued license holders
