Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
CVICU (1 year of experience)
CVICU experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Education

Nursing Diploma, or
ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred Education

BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
Assess patient, family, and caregiver learning needs and provide education support
Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the plan of care as needed
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
Prioritize care, discharge planning, and use of multidisciplinary resources
Support unit goals, performance improvement, communication, and safe care practices
