Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Location

Raleigh, North Carolina

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Nights
  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • CVICU (1 year of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Education

  • Nursing Diploma, or
  • ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing

Preferred Education

  • BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting
  • Assess patient, family, and caregiver learning needs and provide education support
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust the plan of care as needed
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care
  • Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
  • Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
  • Prioritize care, discharge planning, and use of multidisciplinary resources
  • Support unit goals, performance improvement, communication, and safe care practices
