PACU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 4x10 hours
- Schedule: No weekends
- Floating: May be required to float to other campuses if needed and census permits
Role Summary
Provides individualized peri-anesthesia nursing care for geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. The role requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- High-acuity hospital experience
- Extensive cardiac/cath lab experience
