Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Location

Watertown, New York

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

  • 12-hour day shifts
  • Weekend, holiday, and call required
  • 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in New York
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • Experience in Charge roles
  • One completed travel assignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current critical care experience
  • PALS

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care and assess patient needs
  • Recognize safety issues and use lifts or move patients safely
  • Function well in stressful situations
  • Use strong problem-solving, leadership, prioritization, and delegation skills
  • May be required to serve as charge nurse
  • Communicate effectively in interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal formats
