Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Average Daily Deliveries: 5
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery
- Circulate and perform fetal heart monitoring (FHM) required
- Scrub and OB assist preferred
- Float within scope to Mother-Baby Unit (MBU) or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as needed
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
- Locals accepted
- Use of special equipment including Triton for Quantitative Blood Loss (QBL), Surgicount, Monica Novii
- Charting system: Epic (Epic Stork experience required)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association provider card required)
- BLS (American Heart Association provider card required)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Heart Rate certification
- Proficient in Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system

- Must sign facility-specific documents including Code of Conduct, Confidentiality and Security Agreement, Epic Experience Screening Form, Orientation Packet & Acknowledgement Form, and Job Description form prior to start
- Completion of mandatory WorkRamp modules within one week of signing required prior to start
- Employment application and work history verification (minimum 2 years) required
