Overview
Registered Nurse responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients. The role also includes patient and family education, medication administration, participation in shared governance and peer review, professional development, and support for new employees and students.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Med Surg (5 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
- Relevant unit-based skills certification as required by the assigned home unit
Additional Notes
- Cannot accommodate block schedule
- Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, CHF, AKI, and osteomyelitis
- Epic experience preferred
