RN Procedural

Location

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week
  • Night and weekend call required

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Interventional Radiology experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience

Experience Notes

  • May require completion of orientation and ability to function independently in the assigned specialty area before being assigned to this position

Job Duties

  • Provide nursing care under general supervision
  • Care for an assigned group of patients
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
  • Note changes in physician orders for assigned patients
  • Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatment
  • Obtain and monitor physiological data
  • Observe physiological manifestations and intervene when necessary
  • Administer medication as prescribed
  • Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
  • Deliver patient care competently
  • Share the care plan with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
  • Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers
  • Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
  • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
  • Delegate tasks to support staff
