Description
Speech-Language Pathologist (Pediatrics) - Travel/Contract
Location: Duncan, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days/week, 40 hours/week)
Job Description
- Caseload: 1:1 therapy
- Patient ages: Newborn to Geriatrics
- Diagnoses treated include: Autism spectrum disorder, speech delay, sensory disorders, food aversion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), use of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, modified barium swallow studies, cerebrovascular accident (CVA)
- Work settings: Outpatient pediatrics and adults, with cross-training for acute care hospital services including swallow studies
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, including pediatric experience
- Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist within the last year
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I-9 and E-Verify documentation required prior to start
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within 30 days of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification of highest degree earned may be required
- Drug screening: Negative 9 or 12 panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screen acceptable for 9 panel)
- Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
- Fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) within the last year; fit testing can be completed onsite if needed
- Immunizations and titers required or declinations accepted for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal influenza vaccine or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31) with strict documentation deadlines and no declinations accepted without exemption approval
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel allied positions
- Completion of facility-specific confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, employee health survey, and new team member record form prior to start
Additional Notes
- Cross-training opportunities available for acute care and swallow studies
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements for clearance and ongoing employment
- No prior travel experience explicitly required for this position
