Description
Labor and Delivery RN
Location
- Meridian, Idaho
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- STABLE, taken at least once
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and circulating
- Ability to titrate drips
Preferred Experience
- Triage experience
Unit Details
- Labor and delivery unit with postpartum and triage beds
- Approximately 120 births per month
- AWHONN staffing standards are followed
- Common patient types include laboring patients 32 weeks and greater, induction patients, stable antepartum patients, postpartum patients, and well newborns
Schedule and Work Expectations
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- No more than five shifts in a row
- Weekend and holiday needs are based on unit needs
- No call or standby requirement
Floating
- Required to float to like units within the valley
- May also float as a sitter in medical-surgical or emergency department settings
Orientation
- Customized orientation, typically 4 to 6 shifts
Additional Notes
- Blue scrubs are provided on the unit
- Charge RN, resource RN, and house supervisor are on each shift
- OB hospitalist is in house 24/7
- Neonatal NP is in house 24/7
- CRNA is in house 24/7
